Data Used: If Akismet is enabled on the site, the contact form submission data — IP address, user agent, name, email address, website, and message — is submitted to the Akismet service (also owned by Automattic) for the sole purpose of spam checking. The actual submission data is stored in the database of the site on which it was submitted and is emailed directly to the owner of the form (i.e. the site author who published the page on which the contact form resides). This email will include the submitter’s IP address, timestamp, name, email address, website, and message.

Data Synced: Post and post meta data associated with a user’s contact form submission. If Akismet is enabled on the site, the IP address and user agent originally submitted with the comment are synced, as well, as they are stored in post meta.

Email communication (Switzerland based)

Due to security and privacy concerns The name of our communication host will not be disclosed here / publicly, It will be named just “Email HOST”

For more details and further questions please contact our Data Protection officer Timothy Greenspan – [email protected] (Secure Email).

We have separated our platform from communications. TBU NEWS has a  second server dedicated only for email communication. Server data centre is located 1000 meters under in a heavily guarded bunker which can survive a nuclear attack. Every email Message sent to us or by us will be encrypted at all times, zero access architecture, Full disk encryption and storage in secured data centers, No tracking or logging of personally identifiable information will happen. No tracking or logging of personally identifiable information.

All user data is protected by the Swiss Federal Data Protection Act (DPA) and the Swiss Federal Data Protection Ordinance (DPO) which offers some of the strongest privacy protection in the world for both individuals and corporations. As our communication “Email Host” is outside of US and EU jurisdiction, only a court order from the Cantonal Court of Geneva or the Swiss Federal Supreme Court can compel our “Email Host” to release the extremely limited user information we have.

Switzerland also has a long history of privacy and security, dating back over a century, and its laws are much more protective of individual privacy rights. In the US and EU, gag orders can be issued to prevent an individual from knowing they are being investigated or under surveillance. While these type of orders also exist in Switzerland, the prosecutors have an obligation to notify the target of surveillance, and the target has an opportunity to appeal in court. There are no such things as National Security Letters, and all surveillance requests must go through the courts. Furthermore, while Switzerland is party to international assistance treaties, such requests for information must hold up under Swiss law, which has much stricter privacy provisions.

Nearly every country in the world has laws governing lawful interception of electronic communications for law enforcement purposes. In Switzerland, these regulations are set out in the Swiss Federal Act on the Surveillance of Postal and Telecommunications Traffic (SPTT), which was last revised on March 18, 2018. While parts of the SPTT are still in dispute and subject to various legal challenges within Switzerland, the present interpretation does not subject our “Email Host” to any mandatory data retention directives; nor does it enforce upon our “Email Host” a full obligation to identify our “Email Host” users. Moreover, as a Swiss company, our “Email Host” also cannot be compelled to engage in bulk surveillance on behalf of US or Swiss intelligence agencies.

While our “Email Host” benefits from strong legal protections within Switzerland, our “Email Host” has also built in technological safeguards against surveillance, such as utilizing end-to-end encryption. Our “Email Host” do not possess the keys required to decrypt users’ emails. Even emails between non-TBU NEWS accounts cannot be decrypted on our “Email Host” servers thanks to our “Email Host” use of zero-access encryption. As a result, even if our “Email Host” was forced to turn over all our computer systems, email contents will continue to be encrypted. These technical safeguards are the strongest privacy protections because unlike national laws, the laws of mathematics cannot be changed or altered.

Moreover, under article 271 of the Swiss Criminal Code, it is an offence to comply with foreign requests that have not been approved by the Swiss authorities. Therefore, our “Email Host” only complies to two types of orders: (1) orders from the Swiss authorities and (2) foreign requests that have been duly instructed and validated by Swiss authorities through an international legal assistance procedure and determined to be in compliance with Swiss law.

Our “Email Host” is not required to store communications metadata or IP information, as our “Email Host” is exempted under the Swiss Federal Act on the Surveillance of Post and Telecommunications (BÜPF) and its accompanying ordinance. Therefore, our “Email Host” can apply a policy of collecting as little user information as possible to protect user privacy. Upon receiving a judicial order, our “Email Host” is obliged to provide any user information readily available that would help identify a user that is subject to a criminal investigation that has been validated by Swiss authorities. In addition to the items listed in our “Email Host” privacy policy, in extreme criminal cases, our “Email Host” may also be obligated to monitor the IP addresses which are being used to access our “Email Host” accounts which are engaged in criminal activities. Under no circumstances will our “Email Host” be able to provide the contents of end-to-end encrypted messages sent on TBU NEWS email communications.

Messaging Service

TBU NEWS readers, followers and subscribers have an option to communicate with us using secure and encrypted messaging service called Signal and Telegram. Signal messages and calls are always end-to-end encrypted and painstakingly engineered to keep communication safe. Nobody can’t read your messages or see your calls.

Signal messages are encrypted with the Signal Protocol (formerly known as the TextSecure Protocol). The protocol combines the Double Ratchet Algorithm, prekeys, and a Triple Diffie-Hellman(3XDH) handshake. It uses Curve25519AES-256, and HMAC-SHA256 as primitives. The protocol provides confidentiality, integrity, authentication, participant consistency, destination validation, forward secrecy, backward secrecy (aka future secrecy), causality preservation, message unlinkability, message repudiation, participation repudiation, and asynchronicity. It does not provide anonymity preservation, and requires servers for the relaying of messages and storing of public key material.

Signal does not sell, rent or monetize your personal data or content in any way – ever.

Please read their  Privacy Policy to understand how they safeguard the information you provide when using Signal Services. For the purpose of operating our Services, you agree to our data practices as described in Signal Privacy Policy, as well as the transfer of your encrypted information and metadata to the United States and other countries where they have or use facilities, service providers or partners. Examples would be Third Party Providers sending you a verification code and processing your support tickets.

New regulations regarding data privacy called the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force in Europe on May 25, 2018. Since taking back our right to privacy was the reason Telegram exists, there wasn‘t much they had to change. Telegram doesn’t use your data for ad targeting, they don’t sell it to others, and they are not part of any mafia family “family of companies.”

Telegram only keeps the information it needs to function as a feature-rich cloud service — for example, your cloud chats so that you can access them from any devices without using third-party backups, or your contacts so that you can rely on your existing social graph when messaging people on Telegram. Please see their  Privacy Policy for more information.

WordPress.com Stats

Data Used: IP address, WordPress.com user ID (if logged in), WordPress.com username (if logged in), user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, timestamp of event, browser language, country code. Important: The site owner does not have access to any of this information via this feature. Stats logs — containing visitor IP addresses and WordPress.com usernames (if available) — are retained by Automattic for 28 days and are used for the sole purpose of powering this feature.

Activity Tracked: Post and page views, video plays (if videos are hosted by WordPress.com), outbound link clicks, referring URLs and search engine terms, and country. When this module is enabled, Jetpack also tracks performance on each page load that includes the Javascript file used for tracking stats. This is exclusively for aggregate performance tracking across Jetpack sites in order to make sure that our plugin and code is not causing performance issues. This includes the tracking of page load times and resource loading duration (image files, Javascript files, CSS files, etc.). The site owner has the ability to force this feature to honor DNT settings of visitors. By default, DNT is currently not honored.

Additionally, Cloudflare may gather certain information regarding use of their customers’ websites, and process data submitted by CF customers or which CF is instructed to process on their behalf. While it’s not up to CF which data they receive, it typically includes items such as contact information, IP addresses, security fingerprints, DNS log data, and website performance data derived from browser activity.
